This week its SWEET Release at Kindred Stamps! My cards this release use two sets, the Sweet Tooth (characters) set and the Home Sweet Home (castle and "Life is Sweet" large sentiment). Lets get to the cards!

For my first card I used the Nested Hearts stencil to make a super fun background with distress inks. I essentially just permanently stuck the large heart frame to the card base and then built heart accents with the other layers, staying in the large heart frame. Gold Kuretake watercolor splatter really finishes it off!

I used the gumdrop stamp to use my Brother Scan and Cut to scan and cut a bunch of colored paper (with glitter accents) to decorate the fun character.

Sentiment Strip Dies fit these sentiments perfectly and I added a little inking edge.

Love this fund character from Sweet Tooth !

For the second card I used my Brother Scan and Cut cutter to cut a perfectly sized heart for a shaker frame. I scanned my image and sentiment in place so I could locate the heart cut where I wanted. Remove them to cut ;-) I then added ink on the edges for some dimension.

I love splatter for interest and I used Kuretake Gem and Jewel colors for a fun pink and red shimmer for the background. I found this fun glittered tulle at my Dollar Store. I adhered it to the back of the heart, added some foam tape on the perimeter and added all the fun sequins for this fun tulle shaker card! I used my cutter to make a few more hearts for accents. Such a cute princess from Sweet Tooth !

ALRIGHT!!!! Here's my favorite card!!! Several companies have a popup die like this, but before all the dies, people made these by hand and its SUPER EASY! Here's the video I used: https://youtu.be/m4GA1TjWVlA

You use a top fold A2, popup folded mechanism (yes it really is that easy to cut and score!) and then a accordion panel with 4 ATC-sized panels for decorating. Fold the popup mechanism (see video), position the mechanism and glue the top triangle, close, flip and glue the triangle and close. Now when you open you are ready to adhere teh accordion panel. Again the video shows best, but you glue to the top right of your popup mechanism and then the bottom left. I thought it would be fun to decorate the popup panels with elements for a throwback board game effect.

Now that I did the "hard part" lets finish the card! For the front, I wanted a fun fluffy frosting look so I used the Bubbles Stencil with distress ink in light blue, rotated and with a light purple. I added a dark blue inked edge to blend to the card base frame. Sentiment is from the Home Sweet Home set.

I found a fun trail image on the internet to print and then added distress inks to make inside panels. The castle is from the Home Sweet Home set and the king is from Sweet Tooth.

There also is a candy-themed stencil and paper coordinating with this set:
